In EPSG:3857 of EPSG:4326.

Updates for Dutch DEM AHN data sources 5m and 0.5m - see issue #247 by justb4 · Pull Request #287 · mapterhorn/mapterhorn · GitHub .

Zie screenshots:

Topic neemt even een afslag hier…

He Anton, ik heb even getest met https://service.pdok.nl/rws/actueel-hoogtebestand-nederland/wcs/v1_0 , werkt goed.

Hi there, sorry to reply in english.

In case it is useful, I just wanted to post a link to an app specifically made for terrain, here is a terrain-viewer link to load the AHN raster DTM and DSM from WCS official endpoint, and compute the nDSM = DSM - DTM on-the-fly. The visualization modes docs is a useful place to better understand what modes exist, how to toggle them in 3D, 2D, load your own datasets, extract snapshots or COGs, comapre historical imagery etc. Hope this will be useful to the discussion!

This is truly an amazing initiative. Earlier this year someone pointed me to “Godzilla” from TU Delft. An inittiative to get fast DSM and DTM data for NL. Since it went offlineI tried to get in touch to learn the story behind it and why it ended, but i could not retrieve the right personsto get a clear answer. This feels very much like the sequel  Great! Can it do geotiff download of some area as well?

Godzilla AHN download (landsdekkend) - YouTube

Is it possible to supply this as a feature request? Geojson ánd Geotiff

Dooooohh!.. Nevermind. I Found the right button.

For the Dutch readers, I put together this short demo to highlight some of the viewer’s core functionality. It’s a seriously useful tool and well worth exploring.

@jo-chemla, could you explain how additional services can be added?

I tried loading a service from the Province of Wallonia, but it doesn’t appear in the viewer. I assume the correct service URL, including the required BBOX and coverage parameters, needs to be used, but I haven’t been able to figure out the correct configuration.

Any guidance or example would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the kind words!
Indeed DEM Export is accessible from the (usually folded) section, Download and Snapshot - hte export buttons in the drawings section are only for the drawn feature and layers. You can choose your DEM Geotiff export resolution, your screen resolution/viewport will be very fast - can even export all the other visualization modes layers like slope from terrain-analysis, relief visualization SVF etc, as raw values or color-ramped. Or you can choose a higher resolution, it will load more tiles, and can go from my tests up to 8k.

When you activate (pretty hidden, under source-info, last section, coverage overlays, mapterhorn), you see maptehorn combined source already includes the Relief de la Wallonie MNT, see screen
0.5 m · Relief de la Wallonie - Modèle Numérique de Terrain (MNT) 2021-2022 (Service public de Wallonie (SPW)) · “bewallonie”

It seems the terrain dataset is not served as raw elevation values, so it can only be added as an overlay.

Hope this helps! Note you can now even choose, in split-mode: overlay or side, to desync the visualization modes, for example to get a 3x2 map views, each with its own visualizatino mode - eg top row mapterhorn, bottom row another terrain, applying basemap on first column, hillshade on second, and openness on third column for example.
