I contacted the help desk and they suggested I post here. I am looking for any historical PostCode4 map files for research I am working on. Anything prior to the 2015 available online.

Since 2011 all Dutch addresses are supposed to be registered in the Basisregistratie Adressen en Gebouwen (BAG). The data is open and history is available. So you could download the complete dataset with history and filter by date, find all address locations that contain postcodes and somehow, depending on your needs, generate a postcode4 map.
As far as I can tell, Kerncijfers per postcode | CBS contains the data for the Postcode6 regions up to 2010. These could theoretically be combined into postcode 4 regions although analysis would probably be more succesful on the provided level of postcode 6.
I wonder, are you just interested in the historical (geographical) development of PostCode4 areas, or rather in the attribute data (like e.g. demographics) related to PostCode4 areas?
